Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: September 2026
At YAK Productions LLC, we are committed to providing professional photography, videography, creative production, website, social media, and related services. Because our services often require reserving specific dates, allocating creative resources, and preparing equipment and personnel in advance, the following Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all clients and services.
1. Booking Deposits & Retainers
A deposit, retainer, or initial payment may be required to reserve a service date or begin work.
Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement, deposits and retainers are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed.
The deposit secures the client's requested date, time, personnel, equipment, and/or production resources. Once reserved, YAK Productions LLC may decline other bookings for the same period.
2. Client Cancellations
If a client cancels a service after booking:
More than 14 days before the scheduled service: The client may be eligible to receive a refund of payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit/retainer.
14 days or less before the scheduled service: Payments are generally non-refundable.
48 hours or less before the scheduled service: The client is responsible for the full remaining balance unless YAK Productions LLC agrees otherwise in writing.
These terms may be modified by a separate service agreement or package-specific cancellation policy.
3. Rescheduling
YAK Productions LLC may allow a client to reschedule a booking subject to availability.
Rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. A rescheduling fee may apply depending on how close the request is to the scheduled service date and whether additional expenses have been incurred.
A deposit or retainer may be transferred to a new date one time at the discretion of YAK Productions LLC, provided the new date is available.
If the client fails to attend the rescheduled appointment or cancels the rescheduled booking, the payment may become fully non-refundable.
4. No-Shows & Late Cancellations
If a client fails to appear for a scheduled service without providing adequate notice, the booking may be considered a no-show.
No-show appointments are generally non-refundable, and the client may remain responsible for any unpaid balance associated with the booking.
5. Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances
For outdoor productions, events, or services affected by severe weather or circumstances outside either party's reasonable control, YAK Productions LLC may offer the option to reschedule.
If rescheduling is not reasonably possible, YAK Productions LLC may, at its discretion, provide a partial refund or credit after deducting expenses and services already provided.
6. YAK Productions LLC Cancellation
If YAK Productions LLC must cancel a service for reasons within its control and cannot provide a suitable replacement or rescheduled date, the client will be eligible for a refund of payments made for services that have not been provided.
YAK Productions LLC will not be responsible for additional costs, damages, lost profits, travel expenses, or other consequential losses resulting from a cancellation.
7. Completed Services
Payments for services that have already been completed are generally non-refundable.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Photography sessions
Videography sessions
Event coverage
Video editing
Photo editing
Website design or development work
Social media management
Creative consulting
Digital content creation
Promotional materials
Deliverables that have already been produced or delivered
8. Digital Products & Deliverables
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, digital products, downloadable files, edited photographs, videos, graphics, templates, educational materials, and other digital deliverables are non-refundable once delivered or made available to the client.
9. Third-Party Expenses
Payments made toward third-party expenses on behalf of a client may be non-refundable. This may include:
Studio rentals
Venue rentals
Equipment rentals
Contractors
Talent
Travel arrangements
Permits
Location fees
Other production-related expenses
If YAK Productions LLC has already paid or committed funds to a third party on the client's behalf, those expenses may be deducted from any applicable refund.
10. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Clients agree to contact YAK Productions LLC directly before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Unauthorized chargebacks or payment reversals may result in suspension of services and/or delivery of outstanding work while the dispute is being resolved.
YAK Productions LLC reserves the right to provide applicable contracts, invoices, communications, booking records, and service documentation to the payment processor in response to a disputed transaction.
11. Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted in writing and should include the client's name, booking information, payment information, and reason for the request.
Refund requests will be reviewed based on this policy, the applicable service agreement, and the circumstances surrounding the cancellation.
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method.
12. Service Agreements Take Precedence
Certain YAK Productions LLC services or packages may have additional cancellation, refund, payment, or rescheduling terms contained in a separate client agreement.
If a signed service agreement contains terms that differ from this general Refund & Cancellation Policy, the terms of the signed service agreement will control for that specific engagement.
13. Policy Changes
YAK Productions LLC reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time a client's booking is confirmed will generally apply to that booking unless otherwise stated in the applicable service agreement.

By booking services with YAK Productions LLC, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy and any additional terms contained in their service agreement.
