Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality Policy

1. Purpose
YAK Productions LLC (“YAK Productions”) is committed to protecting the confidential information of its clients, contractors, employees, business partners, and the company itself.
This Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality Policy establishes the standards that all employees, independent contractors, freelancers, interns, vendors, and other individuals working with YAK Productions are expected to follow when handling confidential or proprietary information.
2. Confidential Information
For purposes of this policy, “Confidential Information” includes any non-public information obtained through work performed for or on behalf of YAK Productions.
Confidential Information may include, but is not limited to:
Client names and contact information
Client addresses and private business information
Unreleased photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media
Raw footage, project files, editing files, and production materials
Private events, shoots, meetings, or productions
Client contracts, proposals, invoices, and pricing
Passwords, login credentials, access codes, and account information
Social media account information
Marketing strategies and campaign plans
Business plans, financial information, and internal company information
Pricing structures and package information not publicly disclosed
Information regarding upcoming projects, products, services, or announcements
Creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, production plans, and intellectual property
Information provided by clients that the client reasonably expects to remain private
Any other information identified as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential
3. Non-Disclosure Requirement
Individuals working with YAK Productions may not disclose, share, publish, distribute, reproduce, or otherwise make Confidential Information available to any unauthorized person or organization.
Confidential Information may only be used for legitimate business purposes directly related to the individual's work with YAK Productions.
Individuals may not discuss confidential client or company information with friends, family members, other clients, competitors, or members of the public.
4. Photography, Video & Production Materials
All unreleased photographs, video footage, audio recordings, project files, and other production materials must be treated as confidential unless YAK Productions or the applicable client has authorized their release.
Employees and contractors may not:
Post unreleased content on social media
Share client footage or photographs with others
Use client projects in a personal portfolio without authorization
Sell, license, distribute, or otherwise commercially use company or client materials
Upload confidential footage to unauthorized websites, applications, cloud storage services, or AI platforms
Provide project files or raw footage to third parties without authorization
Behind-the-scenes photographs or recordings containing clients, private locations, confidential documents, or unreleased projects must also remain confidential unless approved for public use.
5. Social Media & Public Statements
No employee, contractor, or representative of YAK Productions may make public statements regarding confidential company matters or client projects without authorization.
This includes posting on:
Instagram
TikTok
Facebook
YouTube
X
LinkedIn
Personal websites
Online portfolios
Forums
Messaging groups
Any other public or private online platform
Individuals must receive appropriate authorization before identifying a client, tagging a client, posting client-related content, or announcing an unreleased project.
6. Passwords & Account Access
Company and client passwords, login credentials, access codes, and account information must be kept secure.
Individuals may not:
Share passwords with unauthorized individuals
Use another person's account without authorization
Save company or client credentials in unsecured locations
Attempt to access accounts or files outside the scope of their assigned responsibilities
Retain access to accounts after their work with YAK Productions has ended
Any suspected loss, theft, unauthorized access, or disclosure of credentials must be reported to YAK Productions immediately.
7. Third-Party Disclosure
Confidential Information may not be provided to third parties unless:
The disclosure is necessary to perform authorized work;
The third party is authorized by YAK Productions; or
YAK Productions has provided written permission for the disclosure.
When appropriate, YAK Productions may require third parties to sign their own confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement before receiving confidential information.
8. Use of AI & Online Services
Confidential company or client information must not be entered into publicly accessible AI systems or online services without authorization.
This includes uploading:
Client photographs or videos
Raw footage
Private documents
Contracts
Personal information
Passwords or credentials
Confidential business information
Unreleased creative materials
Any use of artificial intelligence, cloud-based software, file-sharing services, or third-party platforms involving Confidential Information must comply with YAK Productions' authorization and security requirements.
9. Return or Destruction of Information
Upon completion or termination of an individual's work with YAK Productions, the individual must return or permanently delete Confidential Information in their possession or control when requested by YAK Productions.
This may include:
Hard drives
Memory cards
Raw footage
Project files
Documents
Client information
Login credentials
Cloud files
Copies of confidential communications
Individuals may not retain confidential materials for personal use after their authorized work has ended.
10. Exceptions
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:
Is publicly available through no unauthorized disclosure;
Was lawfully known by the individual before receiving it from YAK Productions;
Becomes publicly available through lawful means unrelated to the individual's actions;
Is independently developed without using Confidential Information; or
Must be disclosed by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal requirement.
If an individual is legally required to disclose Confidential Information, they should notify YAK Productions as soon as legally permitted and disclose only the information required by law.
11. Duration of Confidentiality
The obligations contained in this policy begin when an individual receives Confidential Information and continue throughout their relationship with YAK Productions.
Confidentiality obligations will continue after the individual's employment, contract, freelance engagement, or other relationship with YAK Productions ends, for as long as the information remains confidential and legally protectable.
12. Violations
Unauthorized disclosure, misuse, copying, distribution, or publication of Confidential Information may result in disciplinary action, termination of employment or contract, removal from a project, and/or legal action.
YAK Productions reserves the right to pursue any remedies available under applicable law when Confidential Information is improperly disclosed or used.
